Quick Tip on the BOB-CAT® Collection System benefits

One of BOB-CAT’s main pillars is Ease of Ownership which includes
maintaining your BOB-CAT mower.

BOB-CAT mowers offer different side and rear collection systems, including
a Dump from the Seat (DFS) and separate bagging system, in both 8 and
12 bushel volumes, and have the ability to accept a variety of after-market
collection systems as well.

Below are some tips on the benefits of collecting grass clippings and leaves that

should help a landscaper decide whether or not to utilize a collection system.

  • Unkempt lawns need clippings collected, otherwise if left on the ground, grass
clippings can form large clumps of grass thatch and prevent the flow of air,
nutrients, and sunlight from reaching the lawn’s root system, as well as
    promote the growth of fungus
  • Clippings will wilt and dry to a brownish color and taint the look of the lawn
  • If lawn is diseased, than the grass clippings should be removed from the lawn
right away. The clippings could potentially increase the risk of the disease spreading
  • Collection systems can help improve striping patterns
  • In the fall, collection systems are recommended as leaves have the potential to kill
grass if not attended to quickly enough
  • Collection systems will also shred leaves as they are picked up, which allows more
leaves to fit into the collection system
