Blade and Deck Lip Adjustments Quick Tip

Quick Tip Header Image

Simple and quick blade and deck lip adjustments allow you to fine tune the
performance of your BOB-CAT mower to suit your needs.

Blade Pitch Settings:

Positive pitch (1/8” to 1/4” down in the front) = Best fuel economy
Neutral pitch (blade level from front to rear) = Best cut quality

Negative pitch (1/8” to 1/4” down in the rear) = Best striping (not all grass
types lend themselves to striping – typically Northern grasses stripe much
better than Southern grasses).

Deck Formed Front Lip AKA “Bahia” Baffle Settings:

If the front adjustable Formed Lip “Bahia” Baffle is not in the correct position
for your grass type it will affect air flow which can cause grass clumping and
could affect overall cut quality.

For complete step-by-step instructions on adjusting these settings, see your
Owner’s Manual or contact BOB-CAT Customer Service
