JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. (October 18, 2018) — BOB-CAT®, a leading manufacturer of commercial-quality turf mowers, officially revealed the new QuickCat™ 4000 stand-on mower at the 2018 GIE+EXPO. While dealers and distributors saw the other new BOB-CAT® mowers at an event in late August, GIE+EXPO is the first appearance for the QuickCat™ 4000 mower. It completes the all-new Next Generation line of commercial mowers from BOB-CAT®.
The compact design of the QuickCat™ 4000 stand-on mower makes it the ideal size for maneuvering in tight spaces and loading on crowded trailers. The operator station is designed for excellent “center of mass” stability, and low placement of the fuel tank assures improved balance on uneven ground and for traversing hills and slopes.
The QuickCat™ 4000 has also updated its ergonomics to enhance operator comfort and control. Thicker control levers have been dampened to reduce vibration, while the point-of-reference bar is more robust for better zero-turn control. The deck lift is also easier to use thanks to its new two-position placement. Tracking adjustments are tool-free to keep operators on the straight and narrow. Combined with an operator platform featuring radial-bearing suspension for a smoother ride, these new updates allow the QuickCat™ 4000 to offer all-day comfort and performance.
DuraDeck™ mowing decks—36-, 48-, 52- and 61-inch widths—are equipped with either Double Wave™ or patent-pending Air-Gap baffles (on the 61-inch only) for accelerated airflow and improved cutting. Decks feature dual, 10-gauge steel layers with 3- and 7-gauge reinforcements. The 48-, 52- and 61-inch decks feature cast-iron spindles, while the 36” deck features cast-aluminum spindles.
For improved handling, the front caster wheels are larger on the QuickCat™ 4000, measuring at 13″ x 6.5″.
Finally, the QuickCat™ 4000 Next Generation lineup is also backed by the industry-leading BOB-CAT® 6-year / 2,000 hour MOW WITH CONFIDENCE™ limited warranty.
